Review and Discussion of
The Color Purple
Thursday June 20                          7:00-9:00pm

With Alice Walker coming to Eatonton to celebrate her 75th birthday in July, the Georgia Writers Museum is offering a forum for readers and fans to study and discuss Alice's most notable work, The Color Purple

Led by Beth Huskins and complemented by Alice's book The Same River Twice - a chronicle of Alice's experience with the making and reception of the film The Color Purple - this discussion will explore the story's major themes and messages while keeping the focus on Alice herself.

This event will assist you in deepening your understanding of Alice's life and works, of which Putnam County plays a major role, making this event beneficial for attendees of Alice Walker 75 or any Alice Walker fans.
