BOOK TO BE DISCUSSED: "MAMA MAKES UP HER MIND AND OTHER DANGERS OF SOUTHERN LIVING", BY BAILEY WHITE.

The book is a series of vignettes developed from Ms. White series of talks on NPR radio.  The talks were part of the "All Things Considered" program, and were very popular in the 1990's.  The oral essays were based on truth and colored with the dialect and dialogue of south Georgia.

Bailey White was inducted into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame in 2008.  She is from Thomasville Georgia and was a schoolteacher as well as a author of two best selling books and one novel.  She is now retired from teaching and continues to live in her home town.
